These terms are written in plain English. By using FlashDocs you agree to them. The short version: be good, respect others' work, and don't do anything sketchy with our platform.
By creating a FlashDocs account or using our service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use FlashDocs. We may update these terms from time to time — if we make significant changes, we'll notify you by email before they take effect.
FlashDocs is available to anyone 13 or older. By using the service, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you're under 18, you should have permission from a parent or guardian.
You own everything you write in FlashDocs. Your notes, flashcards, and folders are yours. By using FlashDocs, you grant us permission to store and display your content to you through our service — that's it. We don't claim ownership, and we don't use your note content for advertising or AI training.
Use FlashDocs for lawful purposes only. Don't attempt to access other users' accounts or data, reverse-engineer the platform, use automated tools to scrape or extract content, upload malicious files or code, or use FlashDocs to harass, spam, or harm others. Violations may result in immediate account termination.
It is strictly prohibited to use any automated system, bot, scraper, crawler, or AI tool to access, copy, extract, or collect content from FlashDocs — including note content, flashcard data, or any other user-generated material — for any commercial purpose or for training machine learning models. We take this seriously and will pursue violations.
We do our best to keep FlashDocs running reliably, but we can't guarantee 100% uptime. We may modify, update, or discontinue features at any time. We'll always try to give advance notice for major changes. We are not liable for any data loss resulting from service interruptions — please export your notes regularly as a backup.
FlashDocs is provided as-is. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months (or $0 if you're on the free plan).
You can delete your account at any time from your settings page. All your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days of account deletion. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice depending on the severity of the violation.
